In 2008, owner, Matt Dirienzo and his wife Merry, started Compass Shredding and Recycling with a vision to make a positive difference at a local level which would also have a positive net affect globally.

Matt took his 24 years of experience in the waste handling industry to anchor Compass Shredding & Recycling in New Braunfels.

Today, twelve years later, Compass services hundreds of clients in the healthcare, municipal, commercial and industrial markets of south-central Texas.

Our goal of positive net affect globally has been achieved by diverting hundreds of tons a month of paper scrap originally destined for the landfill into renewable products that each of us use daily, such as paper towels, plates, napkins, tissue, baby diapers, and cardboard boxes.

To service large Industrial/Manufacturing Plants and Distribution Centers, Compass provides roll-off transportation service for compacted loads of cardboard or trash.
